Feelings of Worthlessness? EMDR Therapy Can Help
Feeling worthless often stems from past trauma, negative core beliefs, perfectionism, and lack of validation. Experiences like childhood neglect, rejection, and unmet expectations can lead to distorted beliefs like "I'm not good enough" or "I'm unlovable." EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) helps by reprocessing traumatic memories. EMDR’s ability to directly target emotional pain makes it effective for overcoming feelings of worthlessness and building a more balanced self-view.
