My Aims As Your Supervisor

I offer a supervisory relationship that is collaborative, engaged and thoughtfully held. I invite you to bring the full reality of your therapeutic work — the moments that feel uncertain, messy or exposing, as well as those that feel enlivening and affirming.

At the heart of how I work is a person-centred commitment to offering you congruence, empathic understanding and unconditional positive regard. I want supervision to feel like a place where you can speak freely — including when your responses to clients challenge how you see yourself as a therapist. My experience has taught me that when we feel deeply received, our capacity to reflect expands rather than narrows.

Alongside this relational ground, I am interested in what is happening in the here-and-now between us. I may gently draw attention to shifts in tone, feeling or energy, or wonder about parallels between your therapeutic relationships and our supervisory one. Where it feels useful and agreed, we might experiment — perhaps stepping into a client’s perspective or slowing something down — not as performance, but as shared inquiry. I understand awareness as something that unfolds between us, rather than something I deliver.

I am also mindful that supervision carries inherent role power. I hold responsibility for ethical standards, client welfare and professional accountability, and I aim to exercise that responsibility transparently and reflexively. Structure and contracting matter to me — not as bureaucracy, but as containment that allows relational and experiential depth to feel safe.

My hope is that supervision with me becomes a space where safety and challenge can coexist; where we can name what feels difficult without fear of correction; and where increased awareness leads not to self-criticism, but to greater clarity, autonomy and responsiveness in your work with clients. I want you to leave supervision feeling less alone, more grounded in your professional identity and more curious about what is unfolding in your therapeutic relationships.

I have a full and rewarding practice and will support you in achieving whatever shape you wish your practice to take.

Supervision, for me, is a place where we dare to look together — at what feels uncertain, at what feels alive and at what becomes possible when we allow ourselves to be seen in our professional vulnerability.

Group Supervision

Are you looking for affordable, meaningful supervision that enriches your presence, sharpens your awareness and supports your growth as a grounded, embodied practitioner?

Join our low-cost Gestalt-informed supervision group — a warm, collaborative space where your lived, felt experience becomes one of the most powerful tools for understanding both your clients and yourself. We meet monthly on Thursdays, 16:30–18:00, in central Brighton.

We go beyond case discussion to explore the dynamics alive in the here and now, using them to illuminate our therapeutic relationships with clients.

This small group is open to three or four qualified counsellors or psychotherapists.

The fee for Group Supervision is £25 per session for the remainder of my clinical supervision training.

My base training is as a Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I trained at the Metanoia Institute which is respected for its high quality training. I have been practicing as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist since 2009.

In addition to this I am also an EMDR Therapist and I have been offering this to my clients since 2024.

My supervision training began in October 2025 at the Gestalt Centre which is seen as a centre of excellence in the provision of training therapists to become both individual and group supervisors.

At the time of writing I am a ‘supervisor in training’. During my training period (October 2025 - July 2026) I am open to working with supervisees who can commit to 6 months of supervised practice with myself. Individual supervision fees are as followed:

Weekly or fortnightly supervision fee (months 0-3) = £30 per 50 minutes

Weekly or fortnightly supervision fee (months 4-6) = £50 per 50 minutes

Weekly or fortnightly supervision fee (months 6 and beyond) = £70 per 50 minutes
